A Life
Stands
On a can of coke
Bubbling full of
joy.
Greedy friends pass
and suck it out
Leaving just a shell.

The aliminium
Stands
Tough as steel
then a baby cries
No more.

The last dregs drained
The ‘inside out’
A pressure point
makes it
Fall.

The wreckage of pain.
A hope in a Christ.
The wet tears.
For it all.
